Successful appplication for Round 1 Turtle Tank Funding – Creation of an Arts and Culture Trails website
The Together Gladstone initiative will partner with Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) and
Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited (GAPDL) to support the region’s
tourism industry through the challenges and recovery from the effects of the COVID-19
pandemic.
The Turtle Tank Fund is designed to enhance unique opportunities including innovative
ideas, campaigns and initiatives in the tourism space which aim to benefit the region now
and into the future.
Council has contributed $50,000, with a further $50,000 being contributed by the Together
Gladstone Fund totaling $100,000 available for ideas that make tracks in tourism and
innovation.
Financial contributors of the Together Gladstone Fund include Boyne Smelters Limited,
ConocoPhillips as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, Queensland Alumina
Limited, Rio Tinto Yarwun, Santos GLNG, Shell’s QGC Business and other local industries.
Coming together to support the region’s social, tourism and economic sectors, the Together
Gladstone Fund are proud to be involved with the Turtle Tank Fund to make a real
difference in the lives of the region’s residents.
